In the last few months, digital health has experienced growth in partnership development. Some of the partnerships that are particularly interesting to me include:
Vivify + At Home Healthcare
Vivify Health is a remote care platform that connects biometric and mobile devices with electronic health records. Founded in 2009 in Texas, Vivify Health now works with some of the largest health systems such as UCLA Health, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Orlando Health. In announcing a new partnership with Texas based At Home Healthcare, together they are trying to address gaps in monitoring patients while at home. By providing at home monitoring kits to the patients, complete with their own tablet, and various wireless health devices to monitor such vitals as heart rate and weight, these two organizations are attempting to ensure that patients experience zero gaps in care and attention.
HealthXL + WEGOHealth
The recent announcement of the partnership between HealthXL and WEGOHealth is a strong example of leveraging each other’s resources for the betterment of improving each organization’s mission. HealthXL builds communities that want to work on health outcomes, and they do this by connecting early stage digital health companies with health systems, device and drug manufacturers and venture capital funds. WEGOHealth connects health innovators to patient health experts who work as independent consultants and can be reached through the company’s platform. This partnership merges the strengths of one platform with another, in an effort to reach the goal of improving patient-driven digital health innovation. Win-win, especially for patients.
iMedicare + Mirixa
Another recently announced partnership in the healthcare community looks to strengthen medication adherence among Medicare patients. iMedicare, the leading automation decision platform for pharmacies and Mirixa, a healthcare technology and services company recently announced their combined effort to integrate patient counseling opportunities into the workflow of thousands of community pharmacies. This integration will target Medicare patients who are being serviced through the iMedicare platform.
